CodeYourFutureCodeYourFuture have a mission to help the most disadvantaged groups in society start a career in tech. SDD are supporting their efforts and we’d love you to join us.

71% of their students are from asylum seeker backgrounds and 40% are female students, versus 19% in the UK tech industry. CodeYourFuture offer a free 8-month full-stack JavaScript & soft skills training programme that prepares students for their first professional role.

They are currently running classes in London, Glasgow, Manchester, Rome and Medellin.

Your knowledge and expertise can help to transform the lives of disadvantaged and underprivileged individuals, refugees and asylum seekers. They are looking for:

  • Professionals from the tech industry to join their mentorship programme and give a student guidance and support.
  • Experienced web developers (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Node, React, Databases) to help teach our classes.
  • Non-technical volunteers from virtually any background to help us run and grow our organisation.

Join them in one of their existing cities or set up a new CYF chapter to support your local communities.

All donations from individuals go towards covering student expenses including childcare, meals, transportation and mobile internet. Every month, CodeYourFuture provides 140 trips to class, 100 hours of childcare and 200 student meals. Your donations will help people achieve their dream of getting a job in tech!
